Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data nettlepie.com collects and why. The site uses Google Analytics only if you accept it in the cookie banner. Apart from that, we only receive what you send us by email.

nettlepie.com is run by NETTLEPIE Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (Nettlepie Kft.), a company registered in Hungary. Nettlepie Kft. is the controller of the personal data described in this notice.

Analytics
If you click Accept in the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It records which pages and sections you view, which links you click, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (country and city). We use this to see which parts of the site people read. The site tells Google not to use the data for advertising or ad personalisation.
Google Analytics sets two cookies:
_gatells one visitor from another. It expires after two years._ga_8BSRBLTG8Xkeeps track of your session. It expires after two years.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you click Reject, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time in cookie settings, which is also linked at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the site deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
Google may process this data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months.
If you email us, we receive your name, your email address and what you write. We use it to reply and, if we work together, to prepare and carry out the work. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our email is hosted by Google Workspace. We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry, and longer only where the law requires us to keep business records.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, run by GitHub, Inc. To deliver the pages, GitHub's servers receive your IP address and browser details, and GitHub may keep them in logs for security purposes. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). GitHub, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Fonts and saved settings
The fonts are served from nettlepie.com, so no font provider sees your visit. There are no advertising cookies, tracking pixels or social media plugins on the site. Your analytics choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the banner does not appear on every visit. It stays on your device.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, and ask us to correct or delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to send it to you in a portable format. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before. You can also complain to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) at naih.hu, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
